About
My background spans artificial intelligence, computing, research, higher education and applied technology work.
Profile Summary
I am an AI and computing professional with experience across higher education, research and industry. My work covers artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, cybersecurity, image and signal processing, and applied computing. I currently work as a Lecturer at Melbourne Institute of Technology in Sydney, where I also serve as a Principal HDR Supervisor, and I contribute to applied technology work through SAWQ Technologies in Australia.
Earlier, I worked as a Computer Vision Research Engineer on deep-learning-based detection, segmentation and classification, model optimisation, data preparation and computer vision workflows using Python, TensorFlow and PyTorch. I completed a PhD in Computing at Sunway University, Malaysia, with research focused on image quality assessment and image reconstruction.

Applied AI across Perception, Connected Systems and Intelligent Technologies
My interests have grown from image and signal processing into a broader set of applied AI problems. I continue to work on image quality and computer vision, while also exploring edge intelligence, digital twins, reinforcement learning, connected healthcare, IoT and 6G systems, privacy and explainable AI. Research supervision is also an important part of this direction, keeping me engaged with different problems and ways of applying intelligent systems in practice.
